the monster

there is a monster
that resides in the valley
between two large mountains.
it lives under the cover of dense forest
and devours whate'er soul enters it's walls.
it closes it's lips about it,
and refuses to let it go.
wanting to bring it towards it's heaven.
hungry for more,
thirsty for more prey.

this monster knows no satisfaction
not any godly touch
it does not know invasion
yet yearns to be overthrown.
it's smooth soil heaves
and pulsates
in a rythme.
unknowningly
praying to be occupied,
to be filled
with warmth
and flesh.

this monster
tempts the vessel
to enter it's cavernous walls
and travel through it's dark rivers.
it wants to hear the echo
of the vessel
that becomes lost there
inside it.
it longs to feel the vessel
churn
and endevour
further
and further
into it's darkness.
