Fun Times.
Aug. 22nd, 2004 02:03 pmMy boredom that I so eloquently expressed Friday night, was relieved come Saturday afternoon's visit from Gordon. And again later, by free grub and fellowship with Adam, Kristi, and her family.
The first half of the day I spent doing homework, quite boring, as you can imagine. But, a necessary evil. Periodically I would get up and clean the room so that I wasn't sitting down. Eventually I went over to Eckard's to gather some provisions. I still don't know how I spent $20 on things like cotton balls. ("For delicate body creases." egads!)
While I was in the store my phone wigged out on me when Gordon tried calling. Decided to hurry the hell up with my shopping and scurry back across the way. Found her in the nick of time. YAY!!!!! Much merriment ensued. It was great to see her again. If it hadn't been for her, I would have never figured out that what I thought was a mini-stapler, was indeed a fucking hole-punch.
Yesterday also happened to be Kristi's 20th. Adam and I had talked earlier and decided I'd meet up with them at the Outback Steakhouse for dinner with them and her family. Decided to get something quick to eat at the dining hall to tide me over until dinner, (twas starving, I was). So I find something edible at the botulism bar and head on over to the mall to meet up with said love-birds. (Only after obtaining directions from Rose--I made it, by the way. :)) Found the mall, no problem, *YAY!* Didn't find Kristi and Adam right off, however. Even after trying to call Adam's cell phone numerous times. Eventually decided that I was still hungry, the loud eruptions in my tummy gave it away, settled on getting a soft pretzel.
Finally catchup with the engaged duo, meander around for a little bit, eventually going into Victoria's Secret to get a strapless bra for Kristi to wear with her wedding dress. Found out that one of the cashiers/workers actually goes to Meredith, and that we had fencing together. (That was just WIERD.) We skeedatal on over to Outback for dinner.
Dinner was FANTASTIC. I ate a full course meal even though I'd already eaten several times earlier. Bloomin' onion, salad, steak, veggies, AND dessert. It all sounds rather piggish, but I wasn't full even after eating all of that. I think I was a bottomless pit yesterday. :P
Got back in about a quarter to midnight, no turning into a pumpkin for me. mwahhha!
So that brings us up to today. Where I am sitting on my duff doing homework. Still. BAHHHHHHHH.
