Ah, home.

It's great (great, great, great!) to be home. Okay, besides the nagging and the chore lists and the "be ready for bed by 10:30", and the "don't forget to lock the door"-ness, it's ain't so shabby. I do wish other people were home so I would have something to do and hang out with people, or that the people who were home would call me. Dottie's home, but yesterday she had a doctor's appointment and today she has a funeral. Although she did come by yesterday for about an hour after her doctor's appointment, which kicked ass. It's always great to see peeps. Wait, I just said peeps...I need to go back to bed.

At any rate, I have a new cellphone. New phone, same number. Just so you know.

So I've been home since Friday afternoon, and I have been enjoying the days that I've been sleeping in and just recovering from the semester.

The church had its Christmas Cantata Sunday night, my daddy sang, and it was all wonderful. Except for trying to keep Nana inline, who knew that keeping your Grandmother in a good temper would be so challenging?! Ah well. The cantata was still wonderful, and my sanity started to return.

I had the house to myself today seeing as how everyone else was off to work or at school. Needless to say, it was quite nice.

I have decided that Christmas must be the season for people to pop out of the woodworks and come back into your life. This afternoon I got on and not five minutes later Bert gets online for the first time in a millenia. First Nate, now Bert, who's next?!

Bert and I talked for a long time on the phone and caught up a little bit. He's living over in Riverdale with a friend of his. (Someone Libby knows, ironically enough.) He said he'd stop by sometime later this week to see everyone. Of all of my "male interests" I've had, Bert has always seemed to be the favored. (Now that' ironic, neh?) Apparently he's still working at VIR and has sold his truck for a motorcycle, (Ninja bike no less). He's also gotten a bigger collection of tattoos, (not just the small one he had on his arm last year), and...well, lets just say that 'Albert' isn't just his name anymore, it's also his newest piercing. (1, 2, 3...EEEEWWW!) So yeah. Nate gets married and Bert gets... even more rebellious. (Is that even possible?)

I always was attracted to the oddest men. ;))))))
