1. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before? This is a tough one. I think I'll come back to it.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Kept a lot of them! I made similar ones for this year, and a few big ones.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? SO many people! Lots of HS peeps.
4. Did anyone close to you die? This is a long list, unfortunately. Said good-bye to Nana in April. Her best friend and one of my biggest supporters, Daphne, passed away right before Christmas. A few church members also died, and the son of my Uncle's BFF died. (Didn't know him that well.)
5. What countries did you visit? My backyard.
6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013? Uhm, financial stability, a thick-skin, and more hours in the day.
7. What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? April 10th: The day that Nana passed away, and my friend Shannon's birthday.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Going back to school for massage therapy.
9. Area that needs the most improvement? Learning to accept criticism as insight and not as blame. Self-Discipline.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No! I'm as surprised as you are.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Hadn't really made any big purchases. Books? Books are always good.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? The Pope's! Frankie got swag.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? My Employer's.
14. Where did most of your money go? Gas, food, and books. Not necessarily in that order.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Being in a massage therapy program and discovering that I am freakishly good at it.
16. What song will always remind you of 2013? "Catch My Breath" by Kelly Clarkson
17. Compared to this time last year
happier or sadder? Uhm, neither? Is that an option?
Older or wiser? Yes.
Thinner or Fatter? Oo, actually about the same.
Richer or poorer? Poorer, definitely poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Gone out exploring on my own.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Be less co-dependant. Not spend so much time with people I didn't like just to have someone to hang out with.
20. How will you be spending Christmas? Mostly I spent it crying because my family didn't tell me about Daphne's passing until CHRISTMAS MORNING. WAY TO DEPRESS THE SENSITIVE KID, YOU ASSHOLES. *ahem* Yeah, crying.
21. How will you be spending New Years Eve? Spent it with Dottie again this year. Watched a movie and tried to dye Dot's hair.
22. Did you fall in Love in 2013? HahahahahHAHAHHAHA, uh no.
23. How many one-night stands? I have a TV stand, does that count?
24. What was your favorite TV program? Oh geez. Sleepy Hollow. There, I said it. I'm officially in a relationship with Tom Mison's wig.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Nope. My hate stands tried and true for one person and one person only.
26. What was the best book you read? I read over 30 books and you're asking me to pick ONE?! That's like picking a favorite child! Rude.
But seriously, probably "Ocean at the End of the Lane" by Neil Fucking Gaiman.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Clairy Browne and the Bangin Rockettes! SO. GOOD.
28. What did you want and get? Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Fucking Gaiman. Also, acceptance back into school.
29. What did you want and not get? A massage table. And a house. Winning lotto ticket.
30. What was your favorite film(s) of this year? The Hobbit!
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? On my actual birthday I mostly sat alone and had a pity party. Lots of sobbing. Actually, I spent it having Chinese and pizza with my parents. Turned 30.
To be fair, my birthday was in the middle of the week. We'd had a bonfire and cook out the weekend before, and my mom had eye surgery on my birthday. So really I was being a little bratty shit by wanting someone to throw me a surprise party and being sad when no one did.
32. What would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? People actually giving a shit about me/including me in things.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012? Hobo Chic.

37. Who did (do) you miss? Nana & Dude, Daphne, and Shannon.
38. Who was the best new person/ people you met? Tina!!! Tina is my Woo-Woo Wonder Buddy!
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2013: It's okay to cry, and it's okay not to cry. Go to that dark, scary place inside of you and everyone else. But then, for God's sake, tell a joke.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: "Don't be scared to walk alone. Don't be scared to like it." John Mayer.
