Of Birthdayness.
Oct. 26th, 2004 09:03 pmAh yes, my 21st Birthday, yet another landmark was passed on October 24th.
Or 23rd, for that matter.
You see, I had quite a surprise thrown for me. I had planned on going home sometime Saturday morning to get a few things that I had left over the break. Mom and Dad called to say that they would come down on Sunday for my bday and bring anything that I needed. Okay, fair enough, I don't have to drive.
Saturday rolls around, Liz comes back home siiiiccckkk as limp lizard. So I spent some time with her, making sure she was okay. Salem packed up to go on medical leave, I gave her a poster that I had made her Friday morning and had everybody sign. I wasn't able to see her go bacause I had to meet two other girls from my english class to talk about our proposal.
I get back from the meeting, check in on Liz, and start on homework and some other things. The room is really odd looking because all of Salem's stuff is gone.
Liz comes in to tell me that Joel will be stopping by to pick us up and go out for chinese for dinner. I'm thinking we're going across the street to the usual chinese place. Nope.
We drove all the way to Glenwood, parked, and walked until we find this place called, "Cody's", (Yes, a chinese resturant named Cody's.) We march in, and suddenly the lights go on and everrryooone is there yelling "surprise!".
It took me a minute to figure out that they were yelling 'surprise' to me. (I was a little tired by that point. lol.) Needless to say, I was shocked and suprised, and I did what any normal girl would do: I cried.
Mom, Dad, Nana, Adam & Kristi showed up. Along with Kytri and Anna. Hell, that rocked just by itself.But the other thing that kicked ass was that Rose and Liz had made a poster of Marilyn Monroe and had everyone sign it. That kicked ass.
So in short, we ordered, we ate, we talked, we laughed, Liz's mom sang karaoke and embarrassed quite a few of us. But it was a lot of fun.
Jeff called my cell and I started blushing. *^^* I could only half hear him because of the damned karaoke music blaring in my ear.:P Mom and Dad teased me relentlessly about him. ><;; But heck, I didn't mind. *^^*
Left the resturant after much confusion about who was following whom. I drove Rose back to her apartment with Kerry following us. Lemme tell you, that was an interesting driving experience.
I had my first drinks at Rose's, two Dr. Peppers with rum, for those of you that were wondering. And ya know what? I didn't even feel a buzz. Nothing, nada. I guess we know who's genes I have. ><;;
So after watching the South Park movie and watching Rose act goofy as hell, Kerry drove us back to the dorm and we hit the hay at 4 o'clock in the morning. ~_-;
All in all, my birthday kicked ass. It was a great feeling to have my birthday be a big deal for once. (Because usually...it isn't.) And a surprise birthday on top of that! My first one!
I feel quite loved. XD
