Well. I'm here.
I have finally finished unpacking and moving in. Many thanks to Liz and Rose for all their help. :)
It took us a lot longer to get on the road today than we had originally planned. We slept in late, and then I couldn't find one of my textbooks, then one of the cell phones went missing. For about an hour and half there it was total chaos.
The drive down wasn't too bad either. Dad rode with me instead of Mom, which made a world of difference. That left Libby and Mom to ride together. Worked out quite nicely, I'd say. Traffic wasn't bad, the whole trip didn't seem to take all that long.
Unpacking seemed pretty easy. With a lot of help from Rose and Liz. :D Mom tried to put everything away for me and get everything unpacked. Dad and Libby pretty much put a halt to that. :P
Got my car decal and a new camcard. I swear, I hate our campus police, they are obnoxious.
Had a really good patty melt at Cloo's with the fam & co. We parted ways there. I came up to the room alone and started getting everything put away until Michelle dropped by. Spent a good chunk of time with her.
The dinning hall has changed so much. They finally remodeled! *does a happy dance* I swear, it looks wonderful now. Hopefully the food will have improved. I can see me spending a lot more time in there now on the weekends. (Like I didn't spend a lot of time there anyway.)
Onto the roommate situation. We have finally met! In case I have failed to mention, her name is Salem. (I'll try to keep the witchhunting to a minimum. :P) She seems really nice, she is definetly one of the more 'active' roommates I've had. She goes out a whole lot and seems pretty party-party. This year is going to be interesting. :/ However, I really like her from first impressions. Lets hope she feels likewise, I'm sure I wasn't what she was expecting. But then again, I'm pretty far from what anyone would expect. ;)
I can already tell that this is going to be a fun week. XD

Date: 2004-08-16 05:21 pm (UTC)They remodeled it again? They did it up the way it was before the summer before my senior year of highschool (so, summer 1999)--and i know because i was doing a summer program at Meredith that summer and we had to eat in the downstairs diningrooms while construction thundered overhead.
I guess the "finally" made me feel old... ;)
