Apparently there are many a changes happening on campus. The most notable one, (at the moment), is that the Acorn, the school's literary and art magazine, is getting shaken up. And stir fried.
The name is the first thing to be changed, it will now be called the The Colton Review. It will also be pushing the envelope as far as art is concerned, they are hoping for more daring entries, and now they are including opinion pieces. The goal is to get it printed in March and have it available for the Student Achievement Day, so that presenters may read their work.
I know that none of this applies to many of you, but I just thought I'd put it out there for those that it does apply to.
Anywho, enjoy your Friday. :P

Date: 2004-09-24 12:09 pm (UTC)No, wait, i knew they were going to do that. But break my heart, for i must hold my tongue.
But who came up with a name like that? I mean, the poet-in-residence and i were playing with all kinds of good name. Fuk. I mean, i wanted to call it "Carriage Sponge" or "Secondary Motion" or any number of interesting things. Granted, The Acorn does seem to be in that rather Longfellow-ish school, maybe even elementary school.
But it's not my magazine anymore. (Say, who is the editor? I bet it's the Colton pres, come to think of it.) So i have to stand back.
And scowl from a distance.
