Does Heaven have ambient jazz music?

thatsjustjenna When I clicked on the "Subject" box the question popped up automatically from somewhere else. It'll work, honestly.
I just finished watching "Schitt's Creek" for the first time downstairs with Heather. I'm so glad that I finally got to see it! We've been watching it for months and months, savoring it. It's one of her comfort shows, but I am terrible about the television and movies that I consume. I tend to stick to either really weird ones, or ones that are really worn in and borderline offensive.
We weren't allowed to watch tv during the week growing up, mostly because the three of us fought over what we got to watch and it was bad enough that mom banned it Monday through Friday. So now I just don't feel the need to watch stuff. I don't even have my own internet- my bestie downstairs has let me borrow her wi-fi for years- and while I do own a nice tv a friend gave me for free I haven't turned it on since I brought it in the house. *Shrugs* It does tie the room together nicely though.
I'd like to say that music was my diversion of choice growing up- and it definitely was- but I didn't really stretch my palette until I was a teenager. Before that it was Disney and Country music and especially that one time when country artists covered Disney songs. (It's a real thing- "Kiss the Girl" was a banger!)
Now that I'm interested in writing songs, and have been doing it for fun for a few years, I'm branching out musically even more. Although I'm not nearly as prolific as I'd like to be writing wise- what I have managed to pull through the ether has been pretty good.
I'm reading Dar William's songwriting book now too, and it's been a great read. She's coming to the Raleigh opera house (or somewhere downtown Raleigh) soon, but my god- the ticket prices!- $61 to see her before taxes and fees? No, ma'am. I'm too broke for that nonsense. Although I know it would be good, but still.
I shouldn't be spending money at all on anything. I'll need to save as much as possible to pay off my tuition bill for the next few months. I'm already over it if you couldn't tell.
Oh well. That's enough bitching and moaning for one night. Mowgli is begging for attention so we're going to sit in the recliner for a bit before bed.
