Guess what?

Poor Salem, she's moving out this weekend to go back home. I think she's finally convinced the administration that she NEEDS to take medical leave. She needs to take care of herself, she doesn't want to leave, but she is. This sucks. Yeah, I won't mind the private room for a month, it'll be nice. But it'll be interesting considering the only other time I've lived by myself was three-weeks out of the summer.

I'm thinkin' I'll get some of her pictures off of her computer and make a 'come back soon' poster for her, and have liz and i sign it. (and some of her other friends, too. the ones that i know of anyway.)

In other news, I'm tired as hell. and I have about an hour before liz and I go to the fair. (Caramel apples! YAY!)

(no subject)

Salem is going on medical leave. :( One way or another I think. I'm really going to miss her, she's been a really nice roomie to have. It'll only be for about a month, but still. that's a long ass time.

She got me something really sweet today, too. A betty boop wallet as an early birthday present. :) It's spectacular. Betty boop as a cowgirl? Heck yeah!

I also splurged, big time. I bought a 15 dollar beanie at the fair tonight. It has "Orange Lady" written on it of course. I didn't really like it at first because the guy forgot to put "Orange" first, so he did "Lady" all pretty and scripted, and "orange" right above it in block typeface. At first I was thinking about telling him to redo it, (i'm very picky about my nickname), but then I liked it when it was done. Liz was ecstatic about it too.

So she and I had a great night at the fair, neither of us do the rides, which is nice. We both got apple cider, she went for the funnel cakes and I dived for the caramel apples. DEliiisHH. And then we watched the fireworks before coming home.

And speaking of fairs! I won two ribbons at the fair back home! Now this isn't a big deal to most of you, I understand. But to a little town person...it's a bigass deal. I won a first place ribbon for my photoshop self portrait, and a third place ribbon on a charcoal drawing of a guitar and some glass bottles. I kicked ass. YAY money!!! XD I have been hoping to get best in show for YEARS now, I won it when I was in the fourth grade for an acyrlic painting I did, and I've been dying to win it since. But I'm absolutely thrilled that my photoshop piece got a first place prize. XD
